- Although not especially bookish as a child (I never could get into Nancy Drew or the Little House series, although I loved Ramona Quimby), I've had a very unexpected and satisfying career as a librarian. So why in the heck I quit my job and left my home to venture into Central America is anyone's guess. Especially mine.
